June is Pride Month. A month in which attention is drawn worldwide to the visibility, equality and safety of the LGBTIQ+ community. It is particularly fitting during this month that we are delighted to announce that the Give a Damn Foundation has grown once again over the past year. Thanks to this growth, we will be able to support no fewer than ten organisations worldwide with a substantial financial contribution in 2026.
In early April, we gathered with our members for the annual funding meeting. During this special evening, we were introduced to ten organisations from countries including Azerbaijan, Mexico, South Africa, Madagascar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. These are organisations that work every day, often under difficult circumstances, to promote the rights, safety and visibility of the LGBTIQ+ community in their countries.
During the meeting, members had the opportunity to get to know these organisations better. Following this, our members cast their votes to collectively decide which organisations would receive the most financial support. The choice proved more difficult than ever this year. The relevance, impact and urgency of the projects were very similar, and the differences in voting were small.
Five organisations each received a donation of EUR 7,430. The remaining five organisations each received a contribution of EUR 3,350, as we believe it is important that all selected organisations receive support for their vital work.
We look back on this funding cycle with great appreciation. The commitment of our ambassador organisations and members, and the decisions we have made together, once again demonstrate what the Give a Damn Foundation stands for: working together globally, on a trust-based foundation, to promote visibility, safety and equal rights for the LGBTIQ+ community.
Thank you to all our members, ambassador organisations and stakeholders. Without your continued support, this would not be possible.
