As part of the ‘Betekenisvol geven’ campaign, Edith Molemans was recently interviewed by Karen Balvers-Wong for the ‘Dichter bij jouw Doel’ magazine about setting up giving circles, particularly in her capacity at the Give a Damn Foundation.
The concept of a giving circle is straightforward yet effective: you join forces with a group of individuals, pool your funds, and collectively decide how to allocate them, witnessing the immediate impact of your contributions. It is precisely this involvement that makes it so valuable.
At the Give a Damn Foundation, we support LGBTIQ+ organisations worldwide that are often overlooked by regular funding schemes. Through our joint efforts, we can support them and contribute to change. This not only feels meaningful, but also provides a great deal of inspiration in return.
